Be a FRIEND – Volunteer

The Friends of the Richland Library welcomes new volunteers to help with our activities. Volunteers are needed in our Bookroom to help with:
• Sorting books, magazines, audio-visual materials to appropriate sections
• Pricing
• Cashiers during store hours
• Help with the biannual book sales – setup, sales, and cleanup.
• No particular skills are required other than a love of books and a willingness to chip in and help out in a worthy cause. We provide very simple training to help you get up to speed.

We are also helping the Library with volunteers for the new science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) program and space.

If you have questions about becoming a volunteer, please send an email (someone will contact you) or stop by the Bookroom when it is open, and chat with the volunteer who is on duty. You could also pick up a volunteer application form at that time.

If you are ready to volunteer now, please complete our Volunteer Application Form and send it to us by mail or email. One of our Board Members will get back to you.

All volunteers must meet the requirements for becoming a Richland Library volunteer.
