  1. Poem in Your Pocket Day Artist Trading Cards Drop in after school

    April 24, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Check in at Children's Desk

    April 24th is Poem in Your Pocket Day! And artist trading cards fit in your pocket! Stop by the Children's Desk to pick up a blank artist trading card, art supplies and a poetry book to find a poem to illustrate. Supplies provided by the Friends of the Richland Library. Preschoolers must be accompanied by an adult.

  2. Toddler Story Time 10:00 & 11:00 am

    April 25, 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM @ Children's Story Circle

    About a half hour of stories, songs and rhymes geared to 1 1/2 to 3 year olds with their caregiver.

  3. Preschool Story Time 10:00 am

    April 29, 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM @ Children's Story Circle

    About 40 minutes of stories, songs and rhymes geared to 3 to 5 year olds followed by a simple craft.

  4. Read to Jack & Scout 3:30 pm

    April 29, 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM @ Children's Department

    Jack and Scout are Registered Therapy Dogs. They both are Golden Retrievers. They both love stories and kids. Stop in to read them a story!

  5. Baby Story Time 10:00 am

    April 30, 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM @ Story Circle

    About 20 minutes of rhymes, songs and books for babies 16 months and younger with their caregiver followed by baby play time with toys purchased by the Friends of the Richland Library.

  2. Taking Better Action Photos with Scott Butner 7:00 PM

    Ever wished you could get better quality photos of that budding athlete or daredevil in the family? Local professional photographer Scott Butner will provide practical tips on how to improve the quality of the sports and action photos you take, using examples from a variety of sporting and other events to illustrate simple principles that can work with most cameras. Scott brings more than 35 years of experience as a sports photographer for teams ranging from the Atomic City Roller Girls to the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Sounders. This is a free lecture, and we hope to web cast it for people who cannot attend in person.
