Learn a new language with Pimsleur and the Richland Public Library!

The Richland Public Library, in partnership with RBdigital from Recorded Books (Prince Frederick, MD), is pleased to introduce digital access to the world’s most successful foreign language learning program, Pimsleur. Patrons can easily download lessons from OneClickdigital through the library’s website directly to hand-held players, including all Apple devices.

Through the library’s website, patrons will have access to digital courses, such as Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese, and Russian, and many more. Lessons are short and easy to absorb and help listeners learn vocabulary and grammar without mindless repetition. With Pimsleur Language Programs, patrons will acquire conversational skills, not memorized phrases, and begin speaking a new language on the first day. Ideal for learning a new language or brushing up on a language studied in the past, Pimsleur downloadable programs are designed for ease of use and maximum retention.

“We are delighted to offer access to over 40 foreign languages, as well as instruction for foreign speakers to learn English”, says Collection Development Supervisor Judy McMakin. “They can learn a foreign language wherever they are, anytime, with mobile apps for their iPhones, Android and Kindle Fire devices.”

For further information on how to access Pimsleur Language Programs, contact the library staff or check out OneClickdigital at the link.
