Jack the Therapy Dog has been coming in on Friday mornings and staying as the kids come and go from Toddler Story Time. Friday, Jack’s owner, Kathy said a toddler was pointing out pictures in a book and telling Jack the names of things. His mother was very happy because they are working on speech with him and this gave him a chance to practice in a comfortable, non-threatening atmosphere. If you have a child who is having trouble verbalizing and loves dogs, you might consider bringing him or her in to talk to a Therapy Dog. They are very good listeners!
