Join local historian and author, Michele Gerber, on Tuesday, September 17 at the Richland Public Library for an evening of storytelling about the 1940’s and Hanford. Michele will kick off the evening by setting the context of the US and Hanford in the 1940’s and then will open up the floor for others to share stories they have experienced or heard from that decade. Light appetizers and drinks will be provided by Hanford Challenge. This event is part of Inheriting Hanford, a project to engage the next generation in Hanford cleanup through mentorship. Inheriting Hanford is funded with support from the New Mexico Community Foundation’s Community Involvement Fund and the State of Washington’s Public Participation Grant. We will be continuing this storytelling series decade by decade.
