PNNL's Community Science and Technology Seminar - 7pm on the Nation's Electrical System

Tuesday, July 24

The nation's electric system will be discussed Tuesday in Richland by the science editor at boingboing.net . Maggie Koerth-Baker, who also is a columnist for the New York Times Magazine, will discuss "Putting the Fun Back in Infrastructure" at 7 p.m. at the Richland Public Library. Her free talk is part of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory's Community Science and Technology Seminar series. She plans to discuss how the nation's electric system evolved, how it controls what can and cannot be done to solve the energy crisis and what can be learned by studying the past. She's written a book on the topic, Before the Lights Go Out.
