Do you have an unfinished quilt project? Do you enjoy making quilts? Do you need tables for your quilting projects? Join us once a month (Sept-May) between the hours of 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM to quilt with others who share your passion. Project Linus, members of the Quilt Guild, and those of us who just like to quilt, get together once a month. You can stay all day (Bring a lunch) or just come for a few hours. Water, juice, coffee, tea and snacks are provided. Bring your sewing machine and project. Contact Pam Pelly for more information.

Make sure the device is fully charged, and bring any connecting cords you might have.

Our skilled staff will show you how you can download ebooks, magazines, music and more from the library. You can also learn how the library mobile apps work and how to store your passwords. An assortment of appetizers will be available for you to snack on while you learn more about what the library has to offer you.

Tri-Cities author C. Mark Smith has finished his latest book, Community Godfather: How Sam Volpentest Shaped the History of Hanford and the Tri-Cities. Smith spent forty years managing economic development organizations at the local, state, and federal level. He spent the past 18 months researching and writing the development history of his own community and the men – particularly one man, Sam Volpentest – who influenced it during his amazing 101-year life. The result is a thoroughly researched biography of the man known as “the Godfather of the Tri-Cities” who used his political connections, tireless energy, and hard-nosed persistence to find the money needed to fund new missions at Hanford and the important community infrastructure that was required to make the Tri-Cities economy what it is today.
