    About 40 minutes of books, songs and rhymes geared toward 3 to 5 year olds followed by a simple craft to make and take home.

  1. Quilting in the Library 8:00 AM

    February 11, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Doris Roberts Gallery

    Do you have an unfinished quilt project? Do you need table space for your quilting project? Do you like looking at beautiful quilts and learning from master quilters? Join us the second Thursday of every month as Project Linus, members of the Quilt Guild, and people who just have a passion for quilting come together to work on their projects. Stay all day (bring a lunch!) or just stay for a few hours. Water, Juice, Coffee, Tea and Snacks are provided. Bring your sewing machine and your quilting project.

  2. By the Book Knitters

    February 16, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

    The By the Book Knitters is an independent knitting study group sponsored by the Richland Public Library and Desert Fiber Arts Guild. We discuss knitting patterns and techniques. Knitters are also great readers and we love to share the books and authors we read this month. New knitters are welcome!

  3. Building STEAM Makey Makey

    February 23, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM @ Richland Public Library

    Makey Makey Open to anyone 4th grade and older. Registration is required. An Invention Kit for Everyone, is an electronic invention tool and toy that allows users to connect everyday objects to computer programs. Using a circuit board, alligator clips, and a USB cable, the toy uses closed loop electrical signals to send the computer either a keyboard stroke or mouse click signal. This function allows the Makey Makey to work with any computer program or webpage since all computer programs and webpages take keyboard and mouse click inputs. This is a special loan from the Washington State Library and it is here for 2 weeks only.
