Have you ever wondered how a bike helmet works? Learn the science behind protecting your brain. We will begin with hands on activities in the Conference Room followed by a Design Challenge for the whole family. Event is geared toward upper elementary to middle school students but older and younger siblings can get involved too. Everyone in the family should come prepared to participate. Sign up in advance online. Materials provided by the Friends of the Richland Library.

About 40 minutes of stories, songs and rhymes followed by a simple craft to make and take home. Geared to 3 to 5 year olds but younger and older siblings often enjoy it too!

Stories, rhymes and songs for babies 16 months and younger and their caregivers followed by baby play time with toys provided by the Friends of the Richland Library.

Come hear Richland author, Juanita Vedder tell her story. Juanita is honored to say that her blindness has become a stepping stone to live a life of blessings and inspiration. Inspiration is the major purpose of her book. Her blindness has helped her face life's most difficult challenges with a positive and encouraging attitude. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
